Kernow Kids
Cornwall is a particularly fascinating region in the UK with a proud heritage stretching back into the annals of history.
It has a clearly defined economic, administrative and social profile. Cornwall's distinctive personality reflects its traditional Celtic character, culture and environment. This must-have book will explore and identify the rich heritage of Cornwall through the eyes, words and photographs of the children of this unusual south-west location whose coastline - alternately sweeping sandy beaches and rocky cliffs - is washed by the sometimes turbulent waters of the Atlantic Ocean and yet caressed by the warm Gulf Sfream.
The book is a collaboration with Pippa Botting who is based in Falmouth and will engage closely with the children of Cornwall. The Kernow Kids will portray the very essence of what makes Cornwall Cornish through a series of insightful essays and profiles linked to a panoramic display of portrait and scenic photographs.
This glorious coffee-table style book will be a celebration of the true Celtic spirit of this remarkable region of Britain that claims links to the great Arthurian legends of the Knights of the Round Table and the Mighty Merlin.
