CHINA & BRITAIN: The Bond of Friendship

This exciting and lavishly produced book will commemorate the long-standing China-UK friendship links and highlight the special relationship between the two countries that has existed particularly since the early 1950s to the present day. It will be an intriguing celebration of these two very diverse cultures.

Cities500 International Publishers is collaborating with the UK All-Party Parliamentary China Group – through the chairman Ben Chapman MP - to publish a lavish celebratory photo-essay book. It also has the endorsement of Ji Peiding, chairman of the influential China-British Friendship Group under the auspices of the National People's Congress.

The book will explore - in fascinating, insightful essays by both British and Chinese writers and experts - such diverse topics as trade and commerce, academic and cultural exchanges, sporting links and political relations.

It will also reflect on the Chinese communities in the UK - and other elements that clearly define the close ties between the two nations since the formation of the People's Republic, highlighted in a panoramic display spanning from 1949 to 2007.

The book will be published in the late summer of 2007. Further information will be available in coming months but for further details please see the Current Projects page on this website.
