New Album of Dance Music from Natural High

Their music has been enjoyed and danced to in worldwide locations as far apart as Singapore to Santiago, New York to Mumbai, and Shanghai to San Francisco. Now available on cd.

NATURAL HIGH has been playing music that spans every genre of taste for more than fifteen years: strict tempo for dancing, easy listening, pop & rock, country music and jazz.

The band is a hot favourite with the thousands and thousands of holidaymakers every year who travel the globe in luxury aboard P&O’s luxury cruise ships such as Oriana and Oceana.

Leading travel writer Ken Bennett, who is group travel editor for the Trinity Mirror Regional group and a senior member of the British Guild of Travel Writers, said: ‘Natural High is the best band I’ve heard on the high seas in more than 3o years of ‘professional’ travelling.’

The modern day fascination with ballroom dancing, and the enthusiastic participation by people of all ages, has persuaded the band to record a number of their favourite tunes and songs from the band’s strict tempo dancing repertoire.

For this new CD, the six piece band, led by drummer Jonny Baxter, have chosen a small selection arranged for ten of the most popular Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dances.

As well as ensuring that the music is great for strict tempo dancing, they have chosen titles that are equally wonderful to listen to: from traditional Dixieland Jazz to the Glenn Miller sound via Calypso and Spanish Bolero ballads.

The entire CD was recorded by keyboard player Gary Jones during the summer of 2007, as Natural High sailed in harmony around the sunny Mediterranean Sea on board P&O’s classic cruise liner Oriana.

The CD is titled Let’s Face Music and Dance…and the 17-strong track list includes: Cavatina, Manhattan, Jealousy, Sabor A Mi, Oh, Mein Papa and The House of Bamboo.

Top UK dance instructors Roy and Brenda Twigg - who are distinguished dancers in their own right, including winning, amongst other titles, the prestigious Dance de Classique award, commented: ‘Great music and good timing are the ultimate elements for a dancer.
